We started Friday evening off by going to Silver Beach Pizza and while eating our pizza we noticed that the fountain was up and running again for the summer. We thought that we would go and check it out, but not actually get wet.
We walked around the fountains for a little while, but did not really get wet.
Annika thought though that she needed to splash in the water. Eric and I really did not care since she was just getting her shoes a little wet. Then the water stopped and some people by the fountain yelled at us that the water cannons were going to start. Not wanting to get soaked Eric and I quickly ran out with Jackson, but neither one of us grabbed Annika and she did not follow us.
Annika got completely soaked and since she was already so wet we just let her keep on playing in the water. She loved it. There were no other parents that let their kids go into the water and most of them were looking at us like we were completely crazy letting Annika get soaked in 60 degree weather.
Jackson thought it was fun to watch his sister.
Finally the water cannons stopped and we got Annika to come out. She is still talking about how much fun that she had at the fountain. I am sure that we will visit again later this summer when it is much warmer!
